The Silverbell Road corridor from Grant Road to Ina Road is a multi-phased project that began with the Design Concept Report in 2009. In 2014, improvements to the segment from Grant Road to Goret Road were completed, and currently the segment from Goret Road to Camino del Cerro is slated to begin construction in 2023. McGann and Associates has served at the project’s landscape architect and is responsible for the streetscape design, native plant inventory and preservation plans, and irrigation design. McGann and Associates served as a subconsultant to Kittelson and Associates and EPS Group for these projects.

The Sunrise Drive project involved the widening of a major street through a sensitive residential environment. The scope of the improvements included roadway widening, bicycle lane development, pedestrian walkway construction, and slope stabilization and revegetation. Public art was also an important project element. McGann and Associates served as a subconsultant to Kittelson and Associates for this project.

McGann & Associates has been involved in several phases of the Tangerine Road project, starting with the First Avenue to La Canada Drive section in Oro Valley, La Canada Drive to Twin Peaks Road – a section that extends through portions of Oro Valley, Marana, and Pima County, and currently starting design on the section from Twin Peaks Road to Interstate 10.   Combined, these projects account for nearly 12 miles of median divided, 4-lane, arterial roadway. 

On these projects, McGann & Associates coordinated native plant inventories, environmental mitigation plan preparation, the design of roadside landscape improvements, and the engineering of an integrated, centrally controlled irrigation system utilizing reclaimed water.
