Our History

Founded in 1984 by Don and Joan McGann, our firm was built on the shared passion and dedication of this husband-and-wife team. For 37 years, Don led as president and landscape architect, while Joan managed the office for 36 years—together leaving a lasting legacy of partnership and commitment. In 2021, Scott Martinez, a landscape architect with the firm for over 17 years, became the owner. For 40 years, we’ve proudly served Tucson, focusing our practice on the unique environment of the Sonoran Desert. Our deep-rooted commitment to the Tucson community sets McGann & Associates apart among local landscape architectural firms.
