The Kino South Sports Complex is a nearly 100 acre addition to the Kino South Sports Complex. It offers 12 full size athletic fields which can be reconfigured for nearly all field sports. This facility also includes 20 pickleball courts, and supporting restroom, locker room, concession, and operations and maintenance building facilities. McGann & Associates served as prime consultant and was responsible for overall project management, site design, irrigation system engineering, natural turf field design, pickle ball court design, and construction administration. It is noteworthy that the facility was booked for at 400 team soccer tournament when construction had not yet started and when the complex was still under design. This created a completion deadline that could not be extended. The design team working collaboratively with Pima County and the Haydon Building Corporation, the Construction Manager at Risk, completed the project on time. The design team subconsultants: GLHN Architects and Engineers, Swaim Associates, Kittelson and Associates, Turner Structural, and Ninyo and Moore.
