Urban Parks
Crossroads at Silverbell Park
marana, AZ
Crossroads at Silverbell Park is the Town of Marana’s signature community park, offering diverse recreational facilities including lighted rectangular and diamond fields, a splash pad, playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, picnic ramadas, a group-use area, restrooms, walking paths, shared-use pathways, a dog park, an outdoor event space, and an operations-and-maintenance building.
Spanning 63 acres along the Santa Cruz River, the park’s development included comprehensive design and engineering of water, sewer, electric, and stormwater infrastructure.
Completed in three phases—initial development in 2008, playground expansion in 2015, and the addition of a splash pad in 2019—McGann & Associates served as the prime consultant, with GLHN handling infrastructure engineering and Aqua-Design International designing the splash pad.

Naranja Park (multiple phases)
TUCSON, AZ
McGann & Associates served as the prime consultant, leading a team for the $22 million expansion of Naranja Park in Oro Valley. The project successfully aligned stakeholders’ vision with budgetary needs in partnership with the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), creating a vibrant, multi-use community space.
The expanded park now includes LED-lit sports fields, pickleball courts, a splash pad, skate park/pump track, food truck zones, restrooms, ramadas, and new multi-use path connections. The site, once a sand and gravel pit, was transformed through mass grading, relocating over 380,000 cubic yards of soil to establish a stable foundation.
McGann & Associates coordinated multiple iterations of the park’s Master Plan, designing Phase 1 and Phase 2 natural turf fields, irrigation systems, subsurface drainage, and overseeing utility upgrades, while managing subconsultants throughout the process.
